About Tamukke Feminists
History
Tamùkke Feminists is an intersectional feminist collective that centers around community care, women's rights and gender justice in Guyana. We were formed in 2017 with an aim of building public education on issues relevant to women and their social, economic and political development. There was a needed space for accessible information on "taboo" topics that can impact women's lives. Over the past few years, we have facilitated training sessions for young advocates on sexual grooming, safe abortion access, mental wellness and Trans liberation etc.
